With this blog I hope you will find many useful tools for learning. Under Grammar and Vocabulary Study you should find links to a variety of games that help you study. There are a wealth of visual & audio games for Vocabulary that offer you practice around common groupings: numbers, fun activities, etc.. You will also find a link to a Verb conjugation site that let's you choose what you want to practice, the tense, the verbs, the subjects. Practice is the key to language learning so finding ways to practice that you enjoy puts you ahead of the game. Printouts or adult verification of practice can substitute for homework assignments.
The category called Stories/Cuentos offers links to stories both fictional and real. It's a good resource for those who are feeling under-challenged or who learn better from context. Música offers not only the link to Señor Wooly's site (from which you will be asked to memorize stanzas and earn extra credit for knowing songs that are not required), but you will also find links to a variety of musical styles and artists. You will also find your textbook, and it's resources, including your workbook, under AVENTURA.
OK John here are the things I don't know how to do and I'm wondering if I can do it:
In my Unit blogs (I will not blog daily but will post key information as we move through a unit) you may find links to powerpoints that explain important grammar for the unit, ways to access a variety of samples of previous student work (both text and powerpoint)., and links to copies of important class handouts. Handouts will not be given more than once so this link is important to you.
John,
I am also considering the idea of having students set up their own blogs and publish their unit projects with self anaysis. I'd also like to do some visual warm up and was thinking that if students had a link to the image, they could post it in their blog and journal the questions. I would like to increase journaling and was thinking the possibly individual blogs might allow for it (no personal pictures allowed).
